The Colours of Love
This beautiful tribute was from a Mother to her son, who sadly died of a brain tumour in his early forties. She described it to me as "the colours of love". Each colour of Rose represented an emotion within their relationship. Sometimes it was a fiery red in the heat of anger or frustration, other times it was a cool pink or even more distant cream when they seemed far apart. Often the deep warm burgundy reds of wisdom and contentment.
The picture shows the deluxe size which measures around 17" in diameter and it rises and falls to give it interest from all angles, delicate pittosporum foliage is interspersed between the roses to show them to perfection. Naturally it could be created on a smaller scale and in different shades.
Whites, creams and lemons would look equally attractive, and it could be interspersed with dainty Gypsophila for a ladies tribute. Alternatively a roundel of many differnt colours could be most appropriate for a colourful character.
